Eagle home will be raffled off for kids’ organizations
EAGLE – A home in Eagle’s Bluffs neighborhood will be raffled off to raise money for international children’s charities. The Eagle Nest Raffle launches Saturday and runs until 5 p.m. Dec. 1. A drawing will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 31. The home, built in 2008, has three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, and more than 2,200 square feet with an additional 1,300 square feet of unfinished basement. The corner-lot home has an open kitchen and dining area, great room, convenient laundry room, and a bonus room over the attached two-car garage. Amenities include vaulted ceiling and fireplace in the great room, granite countertops, energy efficient appliances,, covered front and back porches and super-insulation with dual forced air heat with air-conditioning. The raffle is organized by Vail’s Dr. Gary M. Weiss, a neurologist, and the Florida-based nonprofit organization Next Step Institute of Integrative Medicine, Inc. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Vail Valley Performing Arts Academy, the Eagle Valley Religious Foundation, the National Association for Children of Alcoholics, Holy Name of Jesus, UNICEF and Weiss’ nonprofit, Action for Children. Ticket buyers can specify which charity they would like their proceeds to support.Tickets are available for donations of $100 for a single ticket, $250 for three tickets, $500 for seven tickets and $1,000 for 15 tickets. Only 10,000 tickets will be distributed. The winner will gain title of the home, free and clear of any liens or mortgages.The raffle’s Web site – http://www.eaglenestraffle.com – goes live Saturday.
