Eagle hosts Noel Nights
EAGLE, Colorado ” Broadway will be ablaze with the glow from 800-some luminaries Friday evening for the third annual Noel Night celebration. The downtown Eagle shopping event will be celebrated from 6 to 9 p.m.
For the younger set, the festivities get under way earlier, with a visit from Santa slated from 3 to 5 p.m. at Everyday Outfitters. Erin Seabury, the creative force behind Noel Night, says the celebration was one of the events she envisioned when she first opened Everyday Outfitters a couple of years ago.
“I just wanted to have a night for people to come downtown and run into neighbors and get into the Christmas spirit.”
Since it was first celebrated three years ago, Noel Night has steadily grown. Seabury noted that various service businesses have joined their retail neighbors and will host open house parties during the event. In addition to the luminaries, the Noel Night will include refreshments served at businesses as well as carolers strolling the streets. Additionally, a special Passport Program is planned to entice shoppers.
The program will begin this Friday and continue through Saturday, Dec. 15.
Participants will receive a passport, which will be stamped when they visit various downtown businesses. Completed passports will be entered in a prize drawing. Winners will receive goods donated by various downtown merchants.
“It will be a fun night out. I think downtown will be gorgeous,” Seabury said.
