Eagle man killed in paraglider crash
WOLCOTT — An Eagle man died Wednesday evening when his paraglider crashed.
Thomas Breen, 39, was killed when his paraglider crashed into a face on Red and White Mountain in the Ute Creek area above Wolcott, southeast of the Eagle County landfill, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
Breen and a few other paragliders launched from a west face of Red and White Mountain around 5 p.m.
A 911 call came in around 6 p.m.
Breen died at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A dozen members Vail Mountain Rescue rallied to retrieve Breen’s body, said Sgt. Tim Comroe with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
