Youth Education

The event kicks off the beginning of Red Ribbon Project’s Youth Education programs in local schools. The evidence based programs address substance abuse prevention, healthy relationship building, coping with adversities and improving communication.

These programs promote healthy alternatives to risky behavior by teaching resistive skills, developing greater self-confidence, enabling students to effectively cope with anxiety, increasing knowledge of consequences, and enhancing cognitive and behavioral competency to reduce and prevent health risk behaviors.

Red Ribbon Project also offers free HIV testing three to four times a year for the community.
