Eagle police crack down on pot growers

EAGLE, Colorado –This week Eagle Police shut down three marijuana growing operations located in residential areas and found out about three others operating outside of the town limits.
Eagle Police Chief Rodger McLaughlin said an anonymous tip from a resident sparked the investigation. At one home, police found 36 marijuana plants being cultivated and at another, 45 plants were found. A third grower provided information about other marijuana cultivation around the area.
One grower was charged with municipal code violations and charges are being evaluated for the other offenders.
