Eagle River Coalition’s Wild and Scenic Film Festival returns to Edwards

The Eagle River Coalition is hosting its 10th Annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival at the Riverwalk Theater in Edwards on Thursday. Presented by an anonymous donor, the event brings inspiring films to the Eagle County community, fostering environmental stewardship and activism in addition to raising funds to support the Eagle River Coalition’s slate of watershed education programs.

“New this year, we are excited to highlight the power of partnerships in protecting and restoring our local watersheds,” said Rose Sandell, the community engagement manager at Eagle River Coalition. “We will have panelists from Eagle County Wildfire Collaborative, Eagle County Open Space and Natural Resources and Eagle County Conservation District to discuss how their work is directly tied to the health of the Eagle River Watershed.”

Stop in for your chance to win door prizes and bid on items at the virtual silent auction. The virtual silent auction offerings are available now on EagleRiverCO.org. The items range from local products to outdoor excursions like golfing packages, exclusive access to the Polar Star Hut, guided fishing trips from Vail Valley Anglers and Vail Rod & Gun Club and more.  

Attendees can also participate in the Peak Flow Prediction Contest , where you can guess the day and time of the peak flow of the Eagle River at the Gypsum gauging station for prizes donated by Fishpond, Rancho del Rio, and Vail Resorts. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival and then will be available for purchase until April 18. Doors open at 5 p.m. and films start at 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Purchase tickets by visiting EagleRiverCO.org. A virtual, on-demand ticket option is also available for folks who are not able to attend the live event.
