Eagle River Meadows hearing is Tuesday

EAGLE, Colorado – The Eagle County Board of Commissioners will continue its multi-part hearing process to review the sketch plan application for the Eagle River Meadows Planned Unit Development proposal next week.The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Eagle County Room, located at 500 Broadway in Eagle. All interested community members are encouraged to attend.The proposed development is located on the former B&B gravel mine site, just west of the Eagle River Preserve in Edwards. Topics will include a discussion and review of sketch plan standards and findings and suggested conditions of approval. Also, at the commissioners’ request, the applicant will provide a comparison of the project’s size, bulk and mass to other buildings in the valley and illustrate how the proposed square footage will be integrated into the site. In addition, a presentation will be made by the Eagle County Economic Council regarding the project and the future of medical, health and destination wellness tourism in the region.The application and staff report which outlines additional discussion topics as well as video from previous hearings on the Eagle River Meadows proposal are available for review online at http://www.eaglecounty.us.
