Eagle River Youth Coalition has new executive director

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – The Eagle River Youth Coalition has chosen Michelle Hartel as its incoming executive director.

“Given Michelle’s outstanding leadership, her passion for youth development, and her positive energy, I’m thrilled to welcome Michelle as executive director, and I can’t wait to watch the growth of the organization under her direction,” stated Matt Teeters, Board President.

Michelle comes to the coalition after serving five years as a program director with SOS Outreach.

“I am eager to strengthen collaborative efforts of the Eagle River Youth Coalition to improve the already impressive youth services in the valley,” Hartel said. “It is an honor to be able to serve the community by identifying resources and enhancing networking opportunities as the executive director of ERYC.”

Since 2001, ERYC has aimed to collaborate with youth-serving organizations in the Eagle River Valley to assess prevention needs and build capacity. The coalition does this through strategic plans, programs, and policies around the issues facing young people.
