Eagle teen arrested in school bomb report

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” A 17-year-old Eagle resident was arrested after a 911 call indicated that there would be a bomb at a local high school Tuesday, police say.

At 10:04 p.m Monday, authorities received a 911 call in which the caller said, “bomb high school tomorrow.”

Eagle County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched all five area high schools and found no bombs, police said.



The teen was arrested and charged with false reporting of explosives, a felony. He was taken to the Eagle County jail and later was released to his parent.

The motive behind the threat is still being investigated, police say.
