Eagle-Vail Community Garden taking shape
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE-VAIL, Colorado – The Eagle-Vail Community Garden Committee recently finalized a deal to transform the old pool site into the new Eagle-Vail Community Garden.
The committee – Vice President Keri Hays, Garden Steward Jean Dziekan, Treasurer Pam Gibbs, Garden Design Guru Pedro Campos, Outreach and Fundraiser Michelle Hartel, Compost Master Shawn Bruckman and President Cassie Pence – plan to raise funds this summer, plant communal areas and build raised beds in preparation for planting next spring. The group is now accepting plot applications for 2012, along with plot fees of $50. Plots for 2012 are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and fees will be used to buy supplies.
