Eagle-Vail hires community manager
EAGLE-VAIL – Rick MacCutcheon, former resident and Vail Resorts Development Company vice president, has returned to his home community of Eagle-Vail where he will take the reins as the community manager, beginning immediately.
The Eagle-Vail Metropolitan District and Eagle Vail Property Owners Association have created the new position of community manager to oversee the neighborhood’s future planning, growth and financial strength.
“Rick’s top priority is to help us identify and obtain sustainable sources of income for the community so that we can move forward to create and implement a new Master Plan for Eagle Vail,” said Mike Connolly, property owners president.
MacCutcheon raised his family in Eagle-Vail, and has an extensive background in the creation, financing and operation of property owners associations and metropolitan districts in Colorado and the United States, including at Arrowhead, Bachelor Gulch and Red Sky Ranch. He has served as president of the Avon/Beaver Creek Resort Association and on the board of the Upper Eagle Water Authority. He also has worked closely with the valley’s towns and the school district.
“I have lived in this community and want the best for it,” MacCutcheon says. “I look forward to building regional cooperation based on the many positive relationships I have with governing entities throughout the valley,” he added.
One of his first tasks will be to work with the homeowners and the metro district on growth plans that include finding sustainable funding to maintain and upgrade neighborhood facilities, such as the pool and golf course.
MacCutcheon moved to Vail in 1976 and in 1979 he joined Vail Associates, now Vail Resorts. Rick and his wife, Pam, lived in Eagle-Vail from 1982 through 2003.
Recently, MacCutcheon served as managing broker of The Litchfield Company, commercial division, a real estate brokerage company in Pawley’s Island, S.C. He also was vice president of Scalise Development, Inc. a real estate development company in South Carolina, from 2005 through 2008.
