Eagle-Vail pool opens Friday with new manager

EAGLE-VAIL, Colorado – Susanna Morgan, of Gypsum, has been hired as the manager of Eagle-Vail’s solar-heated outdoor pool, which opens for the season Friday.
Morgan grew up swimming in Alaska, and graduated from Colorado State University in 2005. She has been working for the Western Eagle County Metropolitan Recreation District for the past five years as the aquatics director, coordinating all aquatics programming and special events.
Eagle-Vail opened its new pool and picnic area last season and anticipates growing its swim team, lessons and aquatic programs.
Eagle-Vail’s pool opens this Friday and will be open weekends during May. Early season pool hours are Fridays from 4-8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sunday from 12-6 p.m. In May, adult morning lap swim will be at 6 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting May 14. The pool will be open daily from May 26 through Labor Day from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Daily passes are $9 for Eagle-Vail residents and $12 for nonresidents. Children under 5 are free, when accompanied by an adult.
Season passes may be purchased at the pool starting May 11. Cost is $200 per individual and $375 per family (Eagle-Vail residents) and $250 per individual and $475 per family (non-Eagle-Vail residents). Ten-punch cards are $70 for residents and $95 for non-EagleVail residents.
