EAGLE-VAIL — A recent board member election for the Eagle-Vail Property Owners Association removed a couple of sitting incumbents from that board.
Three of five seats on that board were up for election in a mail-ballot vote, and were announced at the association’s Feb. 18 annual meeting. Here are the results:
• Judd Watts (former board member): 423
• John “Jake” Jacobson: 291
• Stephen Daniels: 282
• Betsy Laughlin (incumbent): 162
• Mark Miscio (incumbent): 143
Eagle-Vail is in unincorporated Eagle County. Its government is a metropolitan district with an elected board. That board operates the neighborhood’s golf course and other recreational amenities using property tax revenues.
The association board works with the district board. It manages association bylaws and declarations, and acts as the neighborhood’s design review board. Actual approval of building projects is made through Eagle County’s government.
