Eagle Valley Middle heads out in the field

EAGLE, Colorado “-Eagle Valley Middle School seventh-graders recently went on a trip to Eby Creek, just north of the school, to research the natural history of the area.

The purpose of the trip was to inspire environmental stewardship through a natural science learning atmosphere. The students ventured off into the Rocky Mountain ecosystem to learn about its landscape and research the local flora and fauna.

The three-day program helped students not only recognize geography and geology of the area, but also helped them learn to describe the plants and the animals that live there.
