Eagle Valley Middle heads out in the field
Eagle, CO Colorado
EAGLE, Colorado “-Eagle Valley Middle School seventh-graders recently went on a trip to Eby Creek, just north of the school, to research the natural history of the area.
The purpose of the trip was to inspire environmental stewardship through a natural science learning atmosphere. The students ventured off into the Rocky Mountain ecosystem to learn about its landscape and research the local flora and fauna.
The three-day program helped students not only recognize geography and geology of the area, but also helped them learn to describe the plants and the animals that live there.
The alert system has a database that tracks physical addresses and can send messages within a defined area.
