Eagle Valley Middle School sets registration dates
EAGLE ” New to the valley? Is a child entering middle school?
If the answers are ‘yes’ to both questions and you live in Eagle, mark your calendar. Eagle Valley Middle School is hosting registration sessions for new students on Aug. 17, Aug. 18, Aug. 21 and Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., each day.
These registration sessions are for new students only. Incoming sixth graders from an Eagle County School District elementary school do not need to register.
Eagle Valley Middle School is located at 747 E. Third Street in Eagle and is one of four public middle schools in the Eagle County School District. It serves grades six through eight and currently has approximately 270 students, with the student-teacher ratio at approximately 16:1.
The school has several extra-curricular activities that include competitive athletics (football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and track), as well as student council, newspaper and yearbook. Chess club, choir and jazz band are also offered.
“We are thrilled to meet students new to Eagle,” says seventh grade teacher Nicole Dewell, who adds that parents should make an appointment to ensure a smooth, quick registration.
Parents must bring the student’s birth certificate, immunization records and school reports cards from the prior year. Parents should call Roslyn Anderson or Robin Santoro at 328-6224 to schedule an appointment.
