County investigates reported illness
Eagle County Public Health is investigating a gastrointestinal illness occurring among a few attendees of the Colorado Future Business Leaders of America state leadership conference in Vail.
Seven people have been treated and released through Vail Valley Medical Center’s Emergency Department for nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration.
The county is working with the state health department to determine the cause of the illness. Test results are not expected to be available until later this week. Approximately 2,000 students were in the area for the annual conference, which ended Tuesday.
