County solicits community members for citizen boards

Enterprise staff report

Eagle County is soliciting for candidates to fill the openings on several of its citizen boards, including the Eagle County Planning Commission, Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, ECO Eagle Valley Trails Committee and the Colorado State University Extension Advisory Council.

To qualify, all applicants must be Eagle County residents and registered voters. A brief description and the application process for each of the boards follows:



Eagle County Planning Commission

The Eagle County Planning Commission (ECPC) makes recommendations to the Eagle County commissioners regarding land use within the Eagle Valley area of unincorporated Eagle County. The ECPC meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Applications are available online at http://www.eaglecounty.us/planning. Applications are due no later than Friday, April 4 and can be submitted via email to karen.sepp@eagelcounty.us. Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission

The Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission (RFVRPC) makes recommendations to the Eagle County commissioners regarding land use within the Roaring Fork Valley, Missouri Heights and Frying Pan Road area of unincorporated Eagle County. The RFVRPC meets on the first and third Thursday of every month. Applications are available online at http://www.eaglecounty.us/planning. Applications are due no later than Friday, April 4 and can be submitted via email to karen.sepp@eagelcounty.us. Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets as needed to review applications for zoning variances. Applications are available online at http://www.eaglecounty.us/planning. Applications are due no later than Friday, April 4 and can be submitted via email to karen.sepp@eagelcounty.us. ECO Eagle Valley Trails Committee

The ECO Eagle Valley Trails Committee has one vacancy for an at-large member. Applicants must reside in the Eagle River, Colorado River or Gore Creek valley portions of Eagle County. The 18-member committee generally meets five to six times per year to plan trail projects for construction using funds from the county’s one-half percent transportation sales tax. Members are expected to participate in an area of emphasis such as trail planning, special events, fundraising, shared roads or backcountry trails. Colorado State University Extension Advisory Council

The Colorado State University (CSU) Extension Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Eagle County Extension staff in developing, maintaining and promoting educational programs and resources to the citizens of the county. Roles include being an ambassador for CSU Extension programming and resources and assisting in determining priorities and long range guidelines for programming efforts.
