Eagle Valley High School has the following sports competitions and special events coming up this week. Come out and support the home team – the Eagle Valley Devils. The high school is located at 641 Valley Road in Gypsum.

Thursday, Jan. 23

Junior varsity and varsity wrestling teams travel to Glenwood Springs for a triangular with Steamboat Springs and Glenwood Springs that begins at 5 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 24

The alpine ski team travels to Aspen for a day of competition.

Four Devil basketball teams travel to Glenwood Springs to play the Demons with junior varsity girls and boys starting at 4 p.m. (in two gyms). Girls varsity starts at 5:30 p.m. with boys varsity following at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 25

The varsity wrestling team heads to Northglenn High School for an all-day tournament, while the junior varsity team is at Paonia High School for the day.

The nordic ski team travels to Steamboat Springs for the Steamboat/Lake High School Classic Individual beginning at 10 a.m.

The school’s Winter Formal, hosted by LULAC, is 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the EVHS cafeteria.

Monday, Jan. 27

The boys and girls basketball C-teams travel to Rifle High School with girls starting at 5 p.m. and boys following at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 28

Girls junior varsity and varsity, along with boys junior varsity and varsity basketball teams play Rifle High School in Rifle with girls JV starting at 3 p.m. and boys JV following at 4:30 p.m. The girls varsity tips off at 6 p.m. and boys varsity follows at 7:30 p.m.

Special Note: EVHS girls soccer needs head coach

The EVHS Lady Devils soccer team needs to find a head coach ASAP.

The Lady Devils need a leaderS who can facilitate and share the dreams of a talented group of athletes. Certification is a plus and a high level of play and/or coaching is a must. Contact the EVHS Athletic Director at 970-328-8960 or email
