Eagle Valley High School has the following sports competitions and events coming up this week. Come out and support the home team – the Eagle Valley Devils. The high school is located at 641 Valley Road in Gypsum.

ACT Prep at EVHS

Students, or maybe we should say parents, interested in free ACT prep can attend sessions each Wednesdays through April 9. Science and math classes will run from 8 to 9 a.m. Math and English/reading classes will run from 9 to 10:10 a.m. These prep classes are open to all students with a focus on juniors who will be taking the ACT on April 23. Ski Team

Members of the EVHS alpine and nordic ski teams will head to Eldora for the state competitionThursday.

Busy Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, features a busy sports schedule at EVHS.

The alpine and nordic ski state competitions continue at Eldora.

The varsity wrestling team will travel (destination to be announced) to the regional competition.

Junior varsity and varsity boys and girls basketball teams will head to Palisade. The JV girls begin at 3 p.m., with the JV boys following 4:30 p.m. The girls varsity tips off at 6 p.m., followed by the boys varsity at 7:30 p.m.

Sports saturday

The varsity wrestling team will continue competition at the regional meet Feb. 15.

The boys and girls basketball teams will travel to Steamboat Springs. The girls and boys JV teams will begin at 12:30 p.m. (two gyms), with the girls varsity beginning at 2 p.m., followed by the boys varsity 3:30 p.m.

February Break

Eagle Valley High School will be closed for its winter break the week of February 17-21.
