Eagle ready to celebrate Christmas on Broadway
The holiday season will get its official downvalley launch at Christmas on Broadway in Eagle Saturday, Dec. 6.
The festivities will begin at 3:30 p.m. with an atmosphere certain to bring out that happy, Christmas-y spirit.
Eagle’s 26th annual Christmas on Broadway will transform downtown into a Christmas village. Christmas on Broadway started more than two decades ago after a local group gathered for lunch at an Eagle Chamber of Commerce meeting, came up with the idea for a Christmas celebration in downtown Eagle. And it’s still going strong a quarter century later.
This year’s nighttime parade starts at 5:30 p.m. Santa’s Workshop and visits with the big man start at 3:30 p.m. across from the Eagle Pharmacy. Santa will be around after the parade as well. The fun continues after the parade in the Eagle Town Park with a Tree Lighting Ceremony, bonfire (if it snows, there will be a glow) which starts at 6 p.m. with live entertainment following.
