Eagle Town BoardFeb. 24, 2015
Topic: Eagle River Station update
Issue: Jeff McMahon, managing partner for RED Development, spoke to the board during public comment regarding the company’s recent decision not to pursue the Eagle River Station commercial/residential proposal as it currently exists.
Discussion: “It is not a plan that’s achievable in today’s market,” said McMahon during Tuesday’s Eagle Town Board meeting. “Although it is not the way we originally envisioned it, we think there is still a great project to be done in this market.” McMahon noted that national retailers have changed their expansion plans since ERS was originally presented. “We remain extremely bullish about the project, just not in its current form.”
Decision: The board was not asked to vote on the ERS issues and thanked McMahon for the update. ““It’s one of the things we get questions about all the time,” said town board member Anne McKibbin.
