EVHS athletic director apologizes
I apologize for not being fully present during the singing of the national anthem at the boys varsity basketball game on Saturday versus Delta. My actions are my own and do not reflect the Eagle Valley High School administration or our EVHS community.
I grew up in a military family and was raised to stop everything when the national anthem is being played or sung. I also tell our students that people are watching even when you don’t think they are. I am guilty of not having my actions follow what I believe.
I respect the flag, the country, and am extremely thankful for our men and women who serve our country. I will be more aware of my actions and behaviors in the future.
Thank you for your understanding and forgiveness.

The graduates of Vail Mountain School’s class of 2019 will be off to far-flung destinations next fall, set to enter college in one of 16 different states or explore the world on a gap year. One grad is even attending college in Canada.
