Fire, paramedic and rec district voters elect board members
Voters elected board members for two downvalley special districts Tuesday — the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District and the Western Eagle County Metropolitan Recreation District — while results in a third election — for the Eagle County Paramedic Services — were too close to call at press time.
Greater Eagle Fire Protection District
The top three candidates were elected to four-year board terms:
Mike “Pappy” Kerst, 103
Ted Weber, 70
Eric Peterson, 67
Jon Asper, 57
Roby Forsyth, 47

Western Eagle County Metropolitan Recreation District
There were four candidates for the two 4-year terms for the WECMRD Board of Directors:

Stacy Beaumont, 111
Eagle County Paramedic Services
There were 4-year terms and two 2-year terms for the Eagle County Paramedic Services Board of Directors and results are too close to call because of outstanding ballots mailed to military members.
The district sent out 189 overseas military ballots and there is an extended deadline — until May14 — to count those votes.
The Tuesday results for the 4-year terms are:
John Woodland, 60
Jeffrey Babb, 53
Jon Asper, 51
Todd Goulding, 50
Brian Davis, 39
Kaye Ferry, 35
The sole candidate for the 2-year term was Brian Schofield. He received 88 votes.
