An intimate night of acoustic music featuring Tim Hurst will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17.

The show is at the Glenwood Vaudeville Review Theater and tickets are $15.

Historic Ghost Walk

On Friday and Saturday, Oct.17 and 18, the 2014 Historic Ghost Walk through Linwood Cemetery (Glenwood’s Pioneer Cemetery) begins.

Tours are at 7 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. both days, and they begin at the trailhead to Linwood Cemetery at 12th and Bennett.

Tickets are $18 and can be purchased by calling 970-945-4448 or visiting the Frontier Historical Museum. Bring a flashlight or lantern and dress appropriately for the weather. The trailhead is a moderately strenuous hike, and the tour is recommended for school-aged children and older.

Culinary Arts, Wine and Brewfest

The 15th Annual Culinary Arts, Wine and Brewfest is taking place Saturday, Oct. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ramada Inn & Suites in Glenwood Springs.

The fest offers hundreds of wines from around the world, a wide selection of hand-crafted microbrews, sample cusine from favorite local restaurants, a huge silent auction, wine grab bags and special room rates at the Ramada. There will also be a cooking demonstration and wine pairing.

Proceeds from ticket sales help fund arts and cultural programs offered by the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts.

Defensive Driving

The Better Business Bureau is offering Defensive Driving, Your Best Offense on Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at 100 Wulfsohn Road.
