Mother’s Day Mile
The Mother’s Day Mile is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 11 at Glenwood Medical Associates.
Participants in the one-mile race receive a goody bag and finish awards.

On Friday, May 9, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Early Childhood Network’s third annual Casino Night Fund-raiser is being held at Gunslinger Harley-Davidson, formerly Aspen Valley Harley-Davidson.
There will be gaming, a heavy appetizer buffet and live auction. Tickets are $30 for one or $50 for two. For more information, call 970-928-7111.
Symphony in the Valley
Symphony in the Valley Spring concerts are planned in Rifle, Aspen and Glenwood next week.
On Friday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. the concert is planned at the New Ute Theater in Rifle. On Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. the symphony will perform at Wheeler Opera House in Aspen. At 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 11 a special Mothers Day concert is planned at Glenwood Springs High School.
The performances include classical and diverse music selected from the symphony’s first 20 years of concerts. These programs will feature local soloists and specialty performances, showcasing selections from Mozart, Mancini, Vivaldi, Rodgers and Hammerstein, George Cohan, and Beethoven, among others. Tickets will be available at the door — $10 adults; $5 youth, and music students are free.

Health & Wellness Expo
The Third Annual Health & Wellness Expo is May 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ramada Inn, 124 W. 6th Street.
