Ten Tips Every Parent Should Know
A free presentation titled “Ten Tips Every Parent Should Know’ is happening Saturday, Jan. 24 beginning at 10 a.m. at Colorado Mountain College.
Parents can learn age-appropriate skills and ways to speak to their children about sexual abuse and body safety. This class empowers parents with effective strategies for communicating with children about this difficult topic.

Glenwood Springs Frontier Museum
Exhibits include information about Doc Holliday, Buffalo Bill Cody, Theodore Roosevelt and Kid Curry as well as the Utes, mining, skiing, rocks and minerals and much more.
Archives and photo collection available by appointment. Visit the museum store for books on Glenwood history, old fashioned toys and, maps, t-shirts, photographs and souvenirs. Admission is $4 adults, $3 seniors, $2 children.
Aspen Mountain Snowshoe Tour
The Aspen Mountain Snowshoe Tour is offered everyday at 10 a.m.
Weave in and out of spruce and fir forests as you take in Aspen’s vistas from Richmond Ridge with a knowledgeable naturalist on a two-hour guided snowshoe tour.
Learn about wildlife in winter, tracking, mountain ecology, Aspen history, avalanches, and winter habitats.
Tour groups meet up with their guides at the top of Aspen Mountain, in front of the gondola. Tour prices are $65 adults, $58 youth (13-17 years) and seniors (over 65 years), $45 children (7-12 years). The price discounted for anyone who has a gondola pass. Tour price includes gondola ride, snack and warm drink, snowshoes, guide, and basic snowshoeing instruction.
Warm boots, winter clothing, sunscreen, and water are strongly recommended.
No reservations. Tours are made possible through a partnership between ACES, Aspen Skiing Company, and the White River National Forest (USFS).
