Aspen ski history tour

The Ski History Tour on Aspen Mountain takes place on Friday, Marchch 6, beginning at 1 p.m.

The tour is free with a lift ticket and emphasizes the mining era and the early days of skiing in Aspen. The tour guide is given fifth-generation Aspenite Tony Vagneur. Meet up with him at the Guest Services Hut on the top of the mountain.

Glenwood Rocks

Glenwood Chamber Resort Association 2015 Annual GalaCelebrate is Saturday, Marchch 7 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Hotel Colorado.

Music will be by tribute band the “Soul Men” from Cleveland, Ohio. The evening begins at 5:30 with business awards and the citizen of the year award. Cocktails and a silent auction in the “House of Blues” starts at 6:30 p.m.. Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. followed by gambling, costume and dance contests and Blues Brothers’ Show.

Tickets are $80 per person, $160 per couple and $1,300 for a 10-percent corporate table.

Cleansing class

A cleansing class is planned Wednesday, March 11 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at 713 Cooper Avenue in Glenwood Springs.

Instructor John Lee teaches cleansing therapies that reverse health issues and stimulate the body’s healing abilities. The cost is $15.

The class will give a clear understanding of the detox process and will serve as a roadmap to get started. It will also include information about a variety of herbs and natural medicines that aid in detoxifying.
