Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers

The Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers 2015 Season Kick-Off Party takes place Thursday, April 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 520 South Third Street in Carbondale.

Enjoy some White House Pizza and learn more about Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers and how easy it can be to preserve and enhance public lands and trails. Whether you’ve volunteered before, want to get more involved or just want to see what the group is all about, all are welcome to socialize and meet like minded people. Learn about RFOV’s signature programs and find out which projects are on the 2015 schedule.

The Glenwood Springs High School bands are hosting a movie night — featuring “The Lion King” — on Friday April 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m at 1520 Grand Avenue in Glenwood Springs.

Admission is $5 and children under 3 are free. Popcorn is $1 for a bag and all proceeds benefit the Glenwood Springs High School band programs. Call 970-384-5555 for more information.

Grand River Gallop

The Grand River Gallop 5K Run will take place in Rifle at 501 Airport Road on Saturday, April 4, beginning at 9 a.m.

The run will benefit Meals On Wheels of Garfield County. The entry fees are $28 per person by April 2 and $48 on race day. Family fees are $40 by April 2 and $65 on race day. Call 970-625-6215 for more information.

Sunlight Beach Party

Sunlight Mountain is hosting its closing day Beach Party Pond Skim Spectactular on Sunday, April 5.

The party is at the base of the mountain. Wear your best costume and show how you skim across the pond, while enjoying live music and boat drinks.

Redstone Inn Easter Brunch

The Historic Redstone Inn is hosting an Easter Sunday Brunch from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on April 4.
