Hidden History Tour

On Friday, June 6, at 7 p.m., the Hidden History Tour will take place in downtown Glenwood Springs.

Every community has skeletons in its closet. Robbers, reprobates and the red light district are a few of the subjects of this tour. The excursion will include tales of bank robberies, jail escapes, prohibition, illegal gambling, gangsters, soiled doves and even a murder or two. The tour may not be suitable for young children, due to some of the subject matter.

The Hidden History Tour ambles through the downtown core with a vintage tour guide leading the way. Tours are $15 per person, payable with cash, Visa or MasterCard. Meet at 6:45 in front of the Visitor’s Center at 802 Grand Avenue. Payment can be taken then or call ahead for reservations at (970) 945-4448. The tour takes about an hour and a half.
