Gypsum Daze 5K thanks
A big thank you to all the people who donated time, merchandise and money to make this year’s Gypsum Daze 5K Run/Walk another big success.
Nearly 200 people ran or walked in the event this year. All proceeds raised from this event will be donated to help Kailyn Forsberg and her family with the expenses incurred from her accident.
This was another great run with another large turnout and a great group of people both running and volunteering. The following sponsors made this happen: Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture, Big Steve’s Towing, Collins Cockrel & Cole and US Bank. Thanks to them for their donations.
Thanks also to our contributors who do so much to supply the prizes, goodie bags and other items necessary to put on the event. Contributors include: Alpine Ambiance, Alpine Bank, Bella’s Market, Bravo! Vail, Costco, Creekside Grill, Duncan Car Wash, Sue Duncan, Eagle Valley Vision, Ferguson, Garden Center of Gypsum, Gypsum Creek Golf Course, Heidi’s Deli, Integra, Keller Williams Real Estate (Black Bear Partners, Joan and Barb), The Liquor Shop, Mac’s Liquor, Mane Street Hair Styling, Moe’s Barbecue, Napa Auto Parts, Rittenhouse (Survive), Sip, Steve’s Barbecue, Town of Gypsum, US Bank, Vail Recreation District (VRD), Vail Valley Jet Center, WECMRD (Gypsum Recreation Center), White Water Express Car Wash and Yeti’s Grind.

Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
Thank you to the timing crew of Mike Ortiz, Beth Pappas and Joel Rabinowitz of the Vail Recreation District who compiled the results so they were ready at the completion of the race.
All of us who helped put on the Gypsum Daze 5K had a great time and hope you did too. We look forward to seeing you back for another great Gypsum Daze 5K event next year.
