Gypsum Dental welcomes Dr. Moses
A residency at the University of Colorado in Aurora is all it took for Dr. Justin Moses to decide that he wanted to put down roots in the state.
An opening at Gypsum Dental gave him the opportunity to act on that dream.
“It was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down,” said the Philadelphia native.
Dr. Greg Adair purchased the Gypsum Dental practice from Dr. Steve Oakson. The Gypsum office is open Monday through Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dr. Moses said those hours will likely be expanded to Thursdays later this spring.
As he sets up shop in the Gypsum office, Dr. Moses readily admits that most people don’t relish a trip to the dentist. In fact, many folks dread their annual checkups.

“Dentistry has some a long way since the 1960s,” he said, with a grin. “A lot of the time we start with that — we listen to the patient about what their fears and experiences are.”
Dr. Moses believes that talking over a patient’s concerns prior to hauling out a drill can alleviate a great deal of dental discomfort. However, he noted modern dentistry also includes lots of options including total sedation.
Dr. Moses said dentistry is in his genes. “I tried to avoid it, but I kept going back. My father and my grandfather are both dentists,” he said.
With that noted, Dr. Moses said he enjoys dentistry because it provides a more hands-on experience than many other medical fields.
When he is not in the office, he enjoys skiing and hiking and all the other outdoor recreation options Colorado has to offer.
