Large marijuana grow found along Cottonwood Pass

Enterprise staff report

Last week the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of large marijuana grow located near mile marker 14 on Cottonwood Pass Road.

An anonymous party reported finding the marijuana grow while walking through the area.

When deputies arrived at the location of the grow site, they found a very elaborate irrigation system and approximately 1,000 marijuana plants. There was also a campsite nearby.

Surveillance of the area was conducted but no suspect(s) were located. Law enforcement confiscated and destroyed all of the marijuana plants. This will remain an active investigation.
