What: Tom Tudor will present a moving and informative narration about the history of Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers

Details: Tudor served as a sentinel, then relief commander, at Arlington’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from February 1969 to May 1970. Fall Jubilee



What: Fund-raiser for the Eagle County Seniors program New York City trip

When: Friday, Oct. 24

When: 5 to 8 p.m.

Where: Eagle County Fairgrounds old exhibit building

Details: The event will include a barbecue dinner, auction, door prizes, entertainment and more. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and children under age 12 and $25 for a family of four.

EVHS FOOTBALL/BOOSTERS DINNER

What: The Devils will take on Palisade in the final home game of the season and the Eagle Valley Booster Club will serve a benefit chili dinner.

Details: Dinner cost is $5 per person or $20 per family of five maximum.

Haunted Barn

What: Scary fund-raiser for Eagle Valley Middle School football

Details: Cost is $5 per scary visit.

Trick or Treat Street

What: Goodies, games and family friendly activities

When: Wednesday, Oct. 29

Details: Hosted by the Eagle Ranch Association and businesses.

SUNDAY MOVIE MATINEES

What: Free showing of the PG-13 film “Girl with the Pearl Earring”

When: Sunday, Nov. 2

Time: 1 p.m.

Where: Eagle Public Library.

Details: Join Eagle Public Library for free Sunday matinees, refreshments and post screening discussion. All movies are free and open to the public, but may not be appropriate for all audiences.

Winter Market and Holiday Fair

What: Festive booths will display a wide variety of goods including kitchen items, jewelry, bath and beauty products, home décor, scarves and hats, cards and photos, ornaments, toys, food and more.

When: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15

Where: Eagle River Center

Details: Highlights include seasonal music by the Dickens Carolers, pet and family photos with Santa, and free face painting. Admission is free with a donation to the Vail Valley Salvation Army food pantry.

Holiday Bazaar

What: Annual holiday bazaar hosted by the United Methodist Women, complete with their homemade chicken noodle soup sale
