Ski/Ride with elected officials
What: Members of the Vail Town Council and Eagle County Commissioners invite skiers and riders to join them for some runs on Vail Mountain.
When: Friday, Feb. 6
Time: 10 a.m.
Where: Gather at the base of Gondola One in Vail Village

Details: Organized by Councilman Greg Moffet and Commissioner Kathy Chandler-Henry, the outings are a way to connect elected officials with people who are passionate about the outdoors. No RSVPs are needed to take part in the upcoming ski and ride days. Participants simply need to meet at the base of Gondola One and assume responsibility for their own equipment, lift ticket and lunch. An intermediate ability level is advised.
Snowshoe for Peru
What: A 5K snowshoe race to benefit Corazan de Esperanza, a facility that aids at -risk youth and women in Peru
When: Saturday, Feb. 7
Time: 10 a.m.
Where: Sylvan Lake State Park

What: Eagle Valley High School Foundation fund-raiser honoring long-time, retired EVHS staff members and coaches Dave and Susan Scott
When: Saturday, Feb. 7.
