Colorado Riverfest
What: Float and dinner hosted by the Eagle River Watershed Council
When: Saturday, Aug. 17
Time: Float group will meet at Colorado River Ranch at 2:30 p.m. and launch at 3:30 p.m. at Red Dirt Creek. Dinner party will begin at 6 p.m. at Colorado River Ranch.

Eagle Valley Community Fund Rummage Sale
What: Massive rummage sale benefitting local non-profit groups
When: Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 17 and 18 and Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24 and 25
Where: Maloit Park.
Details: The sale is laid out around the former Battle Mountain High School building and features thousands of donated items. Money generated from the sale is awarded to more than 70 local groups.
