Details: The Original Shakedown Street is one of the longest running Grateful Dead tribute bands in the world. Free children’s activities accompany the concert and the series is presented by the town of Eagle, Moe’s Barbecue and the Vail Valley Foundation.

Mountain Dogs Canine Carnival
What: A slate of dog-friendly events anchored with a Dock Dogs competition
When: Saturday, Aug. 10
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Eagle County Fairgrounds.

Colorado Riverfest
What: Float and dinner hosted by the Eagle River Watershed Council
When: Saturday, Aug. 17
Time: Float group will meet at Colorado River Ranch at 2:30 p.m. and launch at 3:30 p.m. at Red Dirt Creek. Dinner party will begin at 6 p.m. at Colorado River Ranch.

What: Massive rummage sale benefitting local non-profit groups is celebrating its 49th anniversary.
