Eagle Vision 20/20

What: A comprehensive update about Eagle presented by the Eagle Chamber and the town of Eagle.

When: Tuesday, Feb. 3

Time: 6 to 7:15 p.m.

Where: Eagle Town Hall

Details: The Eagle Chamber will recognize its Business of the Year as well as the Member of the Year and the Ambassador of Year. Following the meeting, a social gathering is planned at Nozawa.

Ski/Ride with elected officials

What: Members of the Vail Town Council and Eagle County Commissioners invite skiers and riders to join them for some runs on Vail Mountain.

When: Friday, Feb. 6

Time: 10 a.m.

Where: Gather at the base of Gondola One in Vail Village

Details: Organized by Councilman Greg Moffet and Commissioner Kathy Chandler-Henry, the outings are a way to connect elected officials with people who are passionate about the outdoors. No RSVPs are needed to take part in the upcoming ski and ride days. Participants simply need to meet at the base of Gondola One and assume responsibility for their own equipment, lift ticket and lunch. An intermediate ability level is advised.

Snowshoe for Peru

What: A 5K snowshoe race to benefit Corazan de Esperanza, a facility that aids at -risk youth and women in Peru

When: Saturday, Feb. 7

Time: 10 a.m.

Where: Sylvan Lake State Park

Fire and Ice Extravaganza

What: Eagle Valley High School Foundation fund-raiser honoring long-time, retired EVHS staff members and coaches Dave and Susan Scott

When: Saturday, Feb. 7.

Time: 6 p.m.

Where: Eagle River Center at the Eagle County Fairgrounds

Details: The event includes dinner, dancing with Harris & Lee Band, and a silent auction benefiting EVHS organizations. The Scotts will be inducted into the EVHS Hall of Fame. For tickets, contact Scott Green at 376-4080.

What: Porchlight Players dinner theater production of the Mel Brooks musical

When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 13-15 and Friday and Saturday, Feb. 20 and 21

Time: Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Dinner service starts at 6 p.m. Curtain at 7 p.m.

Free Family Fun Fair

What: Fun free indoor activities for the whole family

Where: Eagle River Center at the Eagle County Fairgrounds

Details: Activities will include bouncey castles, bungee jumping and displays and demonstrations from area emergency service providers.

Russian Reading

What: The annual Russian literature book club will meet for celebratory zakuski (hors d’hoeuvres) and discussion of “The Funeral Party” by Lyudmila Ulitskaya.
