What: Murder-Mystery event as part of the One Book One Valley program featuring the first volume of the Longmire series “Cold Dish.”

USFS open house

What: The White River National Forest, Eagle/Holy Cross Ranger District invites public to participate in a collaborative process to help the Forest Service develop potential vegetation management treatments on public lands south of Eagle.

March Madness Mixer

What: Gypsum Chamber mixer and with a NCAA basketball tournament theme

Details: Hosted by Under the Hood and Colorado Mountain Enterprises, the mixer will include a barbecue and games. Participants are urged to wear their school colors.

Lions Club Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction

What: Annual fund-raiser for the Eagle Lions Club

When: Friday, March 27

Time: 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Where: Brush Creek Elementary School

Details: The silent auction will feature more than 180 items for local businesses. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for kids age 5 to 12 and $27 for families. Advance ticket purchases are eligible for a $25 door prize. For tickets or information contact Ed at 970-328-7770 or Judy at 970-471-6140.

Western Slope Home & Recreation Expo

What: The region’s largest home show, featuring manufacturers and retailers from across the region showcasing remodeling and repair products.

When: Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Eagle River Center at Eagle County Fairgrounds
