Colorado Riverfest

What: Float and dinner hosted by the Eagle River Watershed Council

When: Saturday, Aug. 17

Time: Float group will meet at Colorado River Ranch at 2:30 p.m. and launch at 3:30 p.m. at Red Dirt Creek. Dinner party will begin at 6 p.m. at Colorado River Ranch.

What: Massive rummage sale benefitting local non-profit groups is celebrating its 49th anniversary.

Details: Tickets are available online at or from any derby girl. Other outlets include Pazzo’s Pizzeria in Eagle, Avon, and Vail and at the door the day of the event. Pre-sale ticket price is $10, $12 at the door. For derby fans ages 5-16, ticket price is $5. Children under 5 are free. Available concessions include Pazzo’s pizza, draft beer from Bonfire Brewery, and a team-sponsored bake sale.

Summer Reading Ice Cream Party

What: Culminating activity for the Gypsum Public Library’s summer reading program
