Cost is $160 for Eagle Chamber Members ($235 for non-members) for all seven workshops in the series with Allegory Studios – an award-winning branding and marketing firm right here in Eagle. Fore the future

What: Fall golf tournament sponsored by CenturyLink and hosted by the Eagle Chamber of Commerce, the Gypsum Chamber of Commerce and the Eagle Valley Home Builders Association

When: Friday, Sept. 13

Time: 10 a.m. shotgun start

Where: Gypsum Creek Golf Club

Details: Cost is $110 per player or $400 for a four-person team. Entry Fee including golf, apres party with live music, a silent auction and prizes. The tournament will fund scholarships for local high school students. For more information, call 970-370-7065.

Haymeadow Trail Grand Opening

What: Formal trail dedications and ribbon-cutting

When: Friday, Sept. 13

Time: 5:30 p.m.

Where: Trailhead area, east of the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink

Details: The new trail will be the site of the Colorado High School Mountain Bike Championships in October. Following the ceremony, a showing of “Singletrack High” is planned at the Dusty Boot as a fund-raiser for the Vail Valley Composite High School Mountain Bike Team.

Eagle River Cleanup

What: 19th annual event hosted by the Eagle River Watershed Council and sponsored by Vail Resorts

When: Saturday, Sept. 14

Time: 9 a.m. to noon

Details: More than 500 volunteers are expected to participate in the local event. After the cleanup, teams will gather at the Broken Arrow at Arrowhead for a celebration barbecue. Call 970-827-5406 or email outreach@erwc.org to volunteer.

The Haymaker

What: Family mountain bike racing event

When: Saturday, Sept. 14

Time: Races begin at noon

Where: Eagle’s new trail is located on the Haymeadow property east of the pool and ice rink.

Diamond S history tour

What: Eagle County Historical Society tour of historical sites on the Diamond S Ranch

When: Saturday, Oct. 5

Time: Tours will run every 20 minutes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Diamond S Ranch, located four miles east of Eagle on U.S. Highway 6.

Details: Owners at the Diamond S Ranch have allowed the historical society to plan one-time tours of the private, gated community. Vans will shuttle visitors up Bellyache Mountain, where they will visit the restored Howe and Cowden homestead cabins, the Wohlgehagan stagecoach stop and the Bellyache School. Cost is $25 (benefitting the ECHS). Allow 2.5 hours for the tour. Advance reservations are required.
