Marvin “Marv” Kiesling1936-2016

Marvin “Marv” Kiesling died peacefully at home on Feb. 12 in Loveland at the age of 79.

Marv is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice (Skalicky) Kiesling; daughters, Kris (Eric) Ritter, and Melissa (Nick) Pascucci; grandchildren, Cassidy and Cameron Ritter, and Giana Pascucci. He is also survived by siblings, Dorothy Kinnie, Bettie (Vern) Nelson, Edward (Beverly) Kiesling and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother, Myron Kiesling, and a lifelong friend, Gene Worden.

Marv was born on June 6, 1936 in Newcastle, Wy to George and Lois (Brown) Kiesling. He graduated from Loveland High School and later Colorado State College (now the University of Northern CO) in 1959 with a degree in business administration. After graduation he started working for Conoco as a district sales representative. He married Jan in 1971. Next, they moved to Dillon and Marv purchased an oil and gas distributorship. He developed three retail businesses and a condominium complex in Dillon. Marv and Jan moved to Greeley in 1981. In Greeley, he established Golf Tournaments Incorporated, a golf cart rental business that serviced all of Colorado.



Marv was an avid golfer, and chose his houses based on the golf courses nearby. He was a sociable individual who loved family, friends, golf, and politics. His children remember him as a loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. He was a member of the Mountain View Presbyterian Church.

He funeral was held Feb. 20 at Mountain View Presbyterian Church. Memorial donations can be sent to the PVH and MCR Foundation (Cardiovascular Care) 2315 E Harmony, Suite 200 Fort Collins, CO 80528.
