With this year’s abundant snow, and with the assistance of the Eagle Ranch Homeowners Association which recently purchased new grooming equipment, the nordic trail system at the Eagle Ranch Golf Course is open to all.

The trails are groomed nearly every day by the Eagle Ranch Golf Course maintenance staff. These trails are provided for free as a community amenity.

“We have recently updated a few guidelines for using the trails, which have been established to help ensure everyone’s enjoyment while respecting other trail enthusiasts, our homeowners and golf course property,” said Erin Vega of the Eagle Ranch HOA.

Walkers and snowshoers are asked to preserve the nordic trails on the North Loop (Holes 11-16) for skiers by using other parts of the course. Please stay to the side of the trail, which is opposite of the classical track.

“In addition to the use of the trails, we understand that many people use the golf course for other activities in the winter, such as sledding,” said Vega. “If you or your kids are on parts of the golf course other than the trails, we ask that you please stay off any of the roped off areas, which are to protect our tees and greens.”

“We have also had quite a few homemade ‘terrain parks’ in the past,” she continued. “Please be advised that our staff will collect any materials left on the course. We would appreciate it, if you could remind your kids to be safe and to stay off of the roped areas.”
