Outstanding educators honored at 20th annual Evening of Stars

The 20th annual Education Foundation of Eagle County Evening of Stars staff recognition event will be held on Friday, May 16, at the Vilar Performing Arts Center.

The event will get under way at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and dancing to follow at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek at 7:30 p.m. Thi year’s celebration will include many fun flashbacks from the past 20 years.

Awards will be presented to the most highly-effective and highly-qualified teachers for ‘Outstanding Educator’ and ‘Rookie of the Year.’ New this year, the Evening of Stars will honor one Eagle County Schools support staff member with the ‘Stellar Staff Award.’ Finally, an award will be presented to an extremely involved community volunteer for the ‘Friend of Education.’



Parents and community members are encouraged to attend this fun-filled event to honor the exceptional teachers who make such a difference in the lives of children each and every day. Other ways to get involved are to purchase raffle tickets from Eagle County Schools (ECS) students for $3 each to reward great teachers with a chance to win. Prizes include gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses and the winning teacher will win an all expense paid trip for two to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
