Time is running out to offer comment about Gypsum ADUs

Enterprise staff report

Gypsum residents who have an opinion about accessory dwelling units, often called mother-in-law apartments, are running out of time to officially comment about the issue.

The town of Gypsum’s citizen committee, formed to assist the town council in deciding where ADUs should or should not be allowed, is hosting its final meeting Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m. The session will be held at the community Development Department located a 0050 Lundgren Blvd.

After it completes its public meetings and discussion regarding the ADU issue, the committee will make its recommendations to the Gypsum Town Council and Gypsum Planning Commission regarding any revisions to the town’s zoning code. The committee may also decide the existing code is appropriate and that violations should be pursued, so members want to hear from town residents.
