Western Slope Concert Series opens 16th season

The Western Slope Concert Series opens its 16th season with the unusual Deciduous Trio in two concerts.

This young trio has already been a winner in the Coltman Chamber Music Competition and was honored to be invited as artists-in-residence at the prestigious Avaloch Institute in New Hampshire. Deciduous Trip will present a program with works by Claude Debussy, Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu, and Welsh composer William Mathias.

Concerts are planned Saturday, Sept. 6 at 3 p.m. at the Recital Hall in the Moss Performing Arts Center at Colorado Mesa University, and Sunday, Sept. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Montrose Pavilion.

Tickets are available online at http://www.JunctionConcerts.com, and at Roper Music in Grand Junction and the Montrose Pavilion. All seats are reserved, and start at $9 in advance and $12 at the door for adults.
