Satellite gallery opening

The Wyly Art Center Annex in Basalt (99 Midland) is opening its first satellite exhibition gallery from Sept. 19 through Nov. 11.

The space will feature work of regionally and nationally recognized artists, and will include a series of art openings, art talks, and community activities highlighting art. Visit http://www.wylyarts.org for more details.

Music on the Mountain at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Enjoy a free tram ride and live music with the donation of a can of food for LiftUp food pantry. The band The Missing Link (classic rock) begins playing at 6p.m.

Rally the Valley

Rally the Valley begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 20.

This event is a communitywide fund-raiser to support patients at the Calaway Young Cancer Center at Valley View Hospital. Participants can choose between a 24.5-mile bike ride or a 4-mile walk. Kids under the age of 13 can participate in a fun, short parade – Peyton’s Parade. People are also welcome to just join for the lunch and party at Sayre Park.

Fall Art Festival

The Fall Art Festival at the Ramada Inn runs from Sept. 24-28 beginning at 3 p.m. each day.

This show is one of the largest non-juried art shows in the nation, featuring original fine art by local, state and national artists. There will be hundreds of pieces of art to choose from including the “Bargain Bin,” which boasts original art priced at $125 or less.

The event is downstairs in the Ramada Inn.
