It may or it may not come as a surprise, but there are only 41 shopping days before Christmas.

In that spirit the annual Winter Market and Holiday Fair returns to Eagle this weekend.

The fair is a friendly, festive showcase of locally and regionally crafted items. Fair go’ers can find gifts for everyone on their shopping lists, including family pets.

Event highlights include seasonal music by the Dickens Carolers from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, pet and family photos with Santa for a $15 donation to Pet Partners from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, free face painting from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and bounce house for kids all day on Saturday.

Admission is free with a donation to the Vail Valley Salvation Army food pantry. Salvation Army volunteers will be at the event on Saturday packing up Thanksgiving food baskets for distribution to area families in need.
