Eagles free concert series kicks off June 19

VAIL, Colorado The premiere picnicking event of the summer season returns June 19 as the American National Bank ShowDown Town free concert series kicks off its ninth season. The Eagle Town Park stage will host some of the best bands from across the state, with live music every Thursday night from June 19 to July 24 at 6:30 p.m. The concerts are accompanied by childrens activities, endless fun on the updated Eagle Town Park playground and food and beverage available for purchase.

“The American National Bank ShowDown Town has truly become one of the best and most family-friendly events of the summer season, said Ceil Folz, president of the Vail Valley Foundation, which presents the series. The scene in Eagle Town Park each Thursday is so wonderful. Picnic blankets, kids, dogs and great live music all come together to make this wonderful community event an integral part of the summer season for locals and visitors alike.The Blue Canyon Boys kick off the concert series on Thursday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. with their high-energy Colorado bluegrass sound. Other highlights of the six-week long series include the southern rock of Devon Allmans Honeytribe, the unique blues-fusion of Big Daddy Lee & the Kingbees and the New Orleans swing-inspired sound of LipBone Redding & the LipBone Redding Orchestra. Each week the live music begins at 6:30 p.m. Friendly dogs, picnic blankets and coolers are welcome.
