Early blood draw offered for health fair

EAGLE – A special feature of this year’s 9Health Fair in the Eagle Valley is an early, extra opportunity to get the blood test.From 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, participants can get their blood drawn at Eagle Valley Middle School, as part of the 9Health Fair calendar.Results will be available prior to April 23, the day of the health fair. Early-blood draw participants should bring their blood test results to the full health fair if they have questions, or make an appointment with a physician.The blood test is also available, along with all the other screenings, at the health fair, which takes place from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., April 23 t the middle school.The blood work, which can cost $200 to $300, is $30. For an extra $25, men can get their PSA, and a blood count is available for $15. All results will be read from only one blood draw.Participants are asked to fast for 12 hours, except for plenty of water. Black tea and coffee is OK.
