This award is to recognize the ongoing efforts in early childhood that occur outside of the classroom. .

The candidate should possess many of the following characteristics:
– Is working at the local, state, or national level for the advancement of early childhood
– Is inspiring to others in the larger early childhood community through their words and actions
– Strives to continually grow, network, and share their ideas and knowledge about early childhood
– Is a leader in the field of early childhood education
– Is someone whose energy and passion for early childhood fosters development in early childhood programs
– Is an advocate for early childhood providers and young children, influencing beyond the ECE realm.

2. Using the above points, provide an explanation of why this person is deserving of this award. Limit to one page (500 words). You may include supporting information to assist the selection committee.

For Inspiration in Early Childhood Care and Education
Moe Mulrooney, founder of one of Vail’s first and best early childhood programs, the Learning Tree, . This award, established in 2004, is presented annually to an early childhood educator/care provider who embodies Moe’s energy, spirit, enthusiasm, and dedication.
The recipient of this award receives $200 and a plaque with their name to be passed along to future honorees.

– Diligently seeks to enhance the quality of care provided by staying in touch with the latest research in early childhood education, while remaining dedicated to both children and peers.
– Is an advocate for early childhood providers and young children, influencing beyond the ECE realm.
